Hey Everyone! We're back! Sincerely apologize about ghosting on everyone last week, but Nande and I had a scheduling conflict we couldn't avoid. That being said -- we're back again this week with another fantastic episode of The Standup Podcast.
A core tenant of Agile and Scrum is the idea of sustainable pace, and the reason for this is it prevents the team of burning out. Burnout is still a concern even outside of the team itself in how we interact and work at the office.
On this week's episode of The Standup Podcast we dive into the topic of "Work-Life Balance". There's a great article recently that talked about the idea of "Millennial Burnout" (linked below) and how today's modern office environment almost feels like you have to be connected to work 24/7, which can have some very negative results. Making sure you're able to disconnect from work and take personal time is important to your mental health and your overall productivity as a worker.
We cover how you, as a leader, can help set the tone for a healthy work/life balance within your organization. Also items within your control to help maintain a healthy balance for your own sanity.
